Sustainability and energy
Nearly Energy Neutral
The apartments in De Kaaij are nearly energy-neutral. This means they meet the latest BENG (Nearly Energy Neutral Building) standards. On average, a nearly energy-neutral apartment generates as much energy as it consumes for heating, hot water, ventilation and cooling. As a result, the apartments have at least energy label A+ and apartments with building numbers 3 to 8 even A++.
Smart Heating and Cooling
The apartments use a smart heating and cooling system called WKO (Heat and Cold Storage). This system keeps your apartment warm in the winter and cools it down a few degrees in the summer. It works with a heat pump connected to an underground storage system and is located in the adjacent parking building.
Solar Panels on the Roof
All apartments will have solar panels on the roof. These panels generate power for your apartment and are connected to a smart meter. Per apartment we will install approximately 2500 Wp of solar panels. The management and maintenance of the solar panels is arranged by the Owners' Association, so that you don't have to worry about them.
With these sustainable and energy-conscious solutions, we ensure that your new apartment in De Kaaij is not only comfortable, but also good for the environment.
